Case Study: Unbundling the chaos of my first Business transaction.

Matt coached me through the M&A process and demystified it in a very easy to understand format. Being able to talk openly about the 1 - 5 year exit goals with my future business partners using Matt's framework, to see if we were properly aligned as business partners and what we needed to discuss/agree on before moving forward, was invaluable.

  • The eventual merger between my company and my business partners' enabled me to retain equity in the combined company and take on a role as an executive director in a C-level position.

  • 6 months post-merger, we were approached by private investors who ended up acquiring our entire company, along with all its brands.

  • I was able to exit my company in 6 months with the last tranche payment occurring 12 months after the deal was signed, with no earn out.
